What I hold and where it comes from

If I contact your business, I hold your business's name, website and the phone number or contact details it publishes, plus the name and role of a contact person where your own website shows them. I take these from your website or public business listings, and I record which page each detail came from. I also keep a short note of any call: date, outcome and anything you ask me to do, such as not calling again. Before calling, I check business numbers against the UK Telephone Preference Service and Corporate Telephone Preference Service registers.

If you get in touch or become a client, I also hold what you send me and what's needed to deliver the work and invoice it.

Website visitors

This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party fonts or trackers. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security, for up to 30 days.

Why, and on what basis

I use these details to offer my services to businesses that may benefit from them, and to keep a record of who doesn't want to hear from me. The legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR and EU GDPR: my interest in direct marketing of my services to businesses. For clients, the basis is performing our contract and meeting legal obligations such as invoicing.

How long I keep it

Prospect details are deleted within 6 months of my last contact if we don't work together. If you ask me not to contact you, I keep only your business name and number on a do-not-contact list so I don't contact you again. Client records are kept for 6 years after our work ends, as Spanish accounting and tax law requires.

Who else sees it

I use Google Workspace for email, CloudTalk for phone calls and standard office software to store records. These providers process data on my behalf. I don't sell or share your details with anyone else.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those providers offer, such as the UK and EU adequacy decisions for certified US companies or standard contractual clauses. You can ask me for details.

Your rights

You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing at any time, and I'll stop. You can also ask for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct or delete it, or restrict how I use it. Email gabriel@answerplaced.com or say so on a call.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
